Go! prefers the term "Changemaker" over "user" for two primary reasons. Firstly, it aligns with the platform's ethos of empowering individuals to facilitate substantial societal transformations, steering clear of the negative connotations associated with the term 'user.' While Go! aims to offer an enjoyable, intuitive, inspiring, and motivational user experience, it distances itself from the addictive and high-stress environments prevalent on mainstream social media platforms. Secondly, 'user' implies passivity, whereas Go! aspires for every participant to actively engage with their preferred social causes regularly and enact change consistently. This proactive stance is encapsulated by the term "Changemaker."

At Go!, user data control is paramount. The platform endeavors to provide participants with agency over their data collection during app usage. Increased engagement on Go! translates into a more significant positive impact created. Changemakers retain the choice to direct the value derived from their data and time spent on Go! towards supporting causes, movements, or clubs of their choosing. They may also opt to monetize their initiatives through sponsored posts or checklist forums to generate revenue independently of data monetization preferences. A future iteration will introduce participants' ability to exchange their data for goods or services available on the platform.
